News Death Notice
MILINER, Pauline went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2014. Pauline was born on January 20, 1926 in Alexander City, Alabama. She resided in Dayton, Ohio the majority of her life. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; Lonnie and Emma Smith; husband, Rev. Willie D. Miliner; son, Willie D. Miliner, Jr. (JuJu); brothers; William and Nathaniel Smith; sisters, Maxine Tall and Lillian Watts; granddaughter; Chonda Arrington; great-grandchildren; Antoyia S. Miliner and Joshua J. Wortham. Pauline joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age. She was a graduate of the Dunbar High School, class of 1945. She retired from Progressive Industries after numerous years of employment. Pauline later joined Freedom Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her husband, Rev. Willie D. Miliner, Sr. where she served faithfully as Sunday School Teacher until her health failed. She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted and loving children; Minister Larry (Deidra) Miliner; Paulette (Harvey) Wortham of Dayton, Ohio and Ronnie Miliner of Marietta, Ga.; devoted and loving sister, Lonnie L. Hawes; special nieces; Minnie Marsh, Margene McCallum and Marcia Reece; devoted friends, Eunice Andrews, Linda Borders, Inez Farris and Liza Smith a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A special thanks to nurse Christine with Wellcare Home Health. Funeral service at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Freedom Faith Missionary Baptist, 6540 N. Main Street with Pastor Frederick A. Hayes, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to H.H. Roberts, 38 So.
