DAILEY, III., Jouett "Jay" T. age 65, of Kettering, passed away on February 18, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born Feb. 26, 1948 in Maysville, KY to the late Marion F. (Nichols) and Jouett T. Dailey Jr. He is also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Regina D. (Charles H.) Gast of Kettering and his brother John W. Dailey. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Marilyn Petrey Dailey; son William C. Dailey; daughter Cora F. (Nathan Barker) Dailey; step daughter Alexandra J. Petrey; sisters and brothers-in-law Peggy D. (George) Hancock Sr. of Norfolk, VA and Janet "Patti" (David) Frantz of Vero Beach, FL; sister-in-law Mary Patricia Dailey of Aurora, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jay was known for his love and knowledge of music, especially the top 40 hits of the 1960's. He graduated from Stebbins High School in '67, attended Wright State University, Sinclair Community College, and was a graduate of International College of Broadcasting. Jay was a member of Christ UMC where he and Marilyn were married June 20, 1998. He was a past president of American Council of the Blind, Dayton Chapter; an Amateur Radio Tech KC8STI; an accomplished drummer, retired local disc jockey and broadcaster on "The Legend" internet radio. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, "The Legend," Sightless Children's Club, or American Council of the Blind. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
