News Death Notice

TROCHELMAN, Charles T. (Charlie) age 72, of Kettering, passed away on February 19th, 2014. He was born in Dayton on April 26th, 1941. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Candy; his son and wife, Chris and Sarah Trochelman of Kettering; daughter and husband, Gail and Steve Uebelacker and their children, Ryan, Justin and Kayln of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter, Pam Greco of Yellow Springs, Diane Busch of Kettering; step-brother and wife, Ed and Bev Scarpelli; and many other beloved family members and friends. Charlie enjoyed playing football all through his high school years and graduated in 1959 from Mad River High School (later named Stebbins High School). He served 4 years in the United States Marine Corp Air Wing from 1961 to 1965. He then worked in his father's machine shop for many years, along with his 2 brothers, and then took over the business in 1988 as President and owner of Trojon Gear, Inc. As well as being a loving father and husband, his business and his employees were very important to him. He also loved playing golf, fishing, and card games with friends. He will be missed by so many. The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks of West Kettering Rehab and Nursing Center for several months of loving care and also Hospice of Dayton during Charlie's last few days. Friends may call from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. If desired, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
