News Death Notice

DILLER, Victor V. 92, of Medway, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday February 22, 2014 in the home he built 60 years ago, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 17,1921 in Elida, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Ella (Greider) Diller. He was preceded in death by his son Fred, and brothers Richard and Edwin. He is survived by his dedicated wife Mary (Gautsche) Diller. Five children- Steve (Diane) Diller, Vicki (Jim) Martinez, Eric (Carole) Diller, Lori Diller and Shari (Barry) Suttles. Ten grandchildren- Jason (Christy) Martinez, Sarah Martinez, Kristi (Chris) Diller, Andy (Jennifer) Diller, Jeremy (Raeanne) Deady, John Deady, James Deady, Ian Suttles, Caitlyn Suttles, and Seth Suttles. Three great grandchildren- Kai Le, Zeva Deady and Miles Deady, who was born minutes prior to his great grandfathers death. Also survived by siblings- Mary Diller, Charles Diller, Paul (Maxine) Diller, sister-in-law Effie Diller and numerous other relatives and friends. Vic was a faithful member of Huber Mennonite Church. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the Huber Mennonite Church, 1885 S Dayton-Lakeview Road (St. Rt. 235). Burial will be at the Huber Mennonite Cemetery, behind the church. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Dayton or Mennonite Central Committee.
