News Death Notice

BOATWRIGHT, Lois departed Monday, March 17, 2014. A longtime member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, she later joined Faith Vision Baptist Church. An active servant of God she served on the Missionary Society, Culinary Committee, Nursing Guild, Sunday School Teacher and Montgomery County Missionary Society. A former employee of Miami Valley Hospital and a 19 year retiree of GM. Preceded in death by parents, son Glen Quincy Boatwright. Survived by her devoted daughter, Pamela J. Boatwright; 4 grandchildren: Brianna Owens, Monique Austin, Cierra Beckum, Autumn Boatwright; 5 sisters: Joyce (Percy, deceased) Smith (twin) of Dayton, Arlisha (Lawrence, deceased) Wheeler of New Orleans, LA, June Marie Johnson of Sacramento, CA, Arlean (Greg) Halthon of Atlanta, GA, Betty (Andrew) Rose of New Orleans, LA; brothers Theodore (Rose) Sharp of Dayton, Luther Sharp of Dayton, OH. Special friends: Carol Rice, Emma Taylor, Joyce Stills, Lynette Hunter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Greater St. John Baptist Church, 4200 Germantown Pk., Rev. L.D. Hayes, Pastor. Pastor T.H. McFarland Jr. officiating.
