THOMAS, Lottie Melvin (Setser) age 84, of Vandalia, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2014. She retired from the City of Dayton after 33 years of service. At her retirement, she was the Fiscal Manager for the City of Dayton Fire Department. Lottie was a lifelong member of Riverdale and Basore Road Grace Brethren Churches where she was a Sunday School Teacher, served on the board and held various positions in the church. Over the years, Lottie loved to ballroom dance and roller skate. She participated in bowling leagues and most of all, loved her cats. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ralph J. (Debra) Thomas of Dayton, daughter: Connie Haubruge of CA, granddaughters: Paula (Fareed) Mohamed, Tammy (David) Bumpas, Carrie (Tim) Wagner, great-grandchildren: Kayla and Amanda Bumpas, Cassidy and Noah Wagner, Amina Mohamed, sisters: Audrey, Ruth, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul F. Thomas, parents: John and Callie (Ratliff) Setser, brothers: John, Ellis and Elbert Setser and son-in-law: Yves Haubruge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union, Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Janet Rader. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery in Tipp City. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
