JOHNSON, Jack Austin age 81, of Englewood, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He retired from McCalls/Dayton Press as Director of Printing. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sports, especially watching Ohio State and the Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years: Nada (Fleming) Johnson, daughters: Debbie (Tom) Kracus of Centerville, Sandy (Mark) Pepper of FL, grandchildren: Michelle (Nate) Taylor, Melissa (Matt) Jacobs, Michael and Justin Pepper, great grandchildren: Sophia, Brandt, Gage, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bobby Fleming of Englewood, Wayne (Lou) Fleming of VA, Gary (Harriett) Edwards of Huber Heights, Vicki Newberry of AZ, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Gladys (Johnson) Johnson and brother: Chester Johnson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Good Samaritan Hospital ICU for the wonderful loving care given to Jack. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Entombment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Brookville.
