SMITH, Wilmond Denny age 62, entered our Father's heavenly home on April 10, 2014 to be reunited with his family and friends. Denny was known by many as Dad, Daddy, Poppa Bear, Pappy, Pops, PopPop, Brother, and Friend. Denny leaves behind his Wife, Jeanette (Jnet) Bray Smith and their children: Zachary Collins of Cincinnati, OH, Patrick O'Ryan and his wife, Chelsea of West Carrollton, OH, Sarah Clark and husband, Jonathan Clark of West Carrollton, OH, Andrew Smith (Mini Denny) of Moraine, OH; his Grandchildren, Eli, Kacey and Carter. Denny leave behind 2 sister and 1 brother, Phyllis and Lanny Fullenkamp of Miami Township, OH, Leeida and Raymond Bowen of LaVergne, TN, James Smith (Jimbo) of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews and cousins whom he loved very dearly. Denny is preceded in death by his parents, Aleda Day White and James M. Smith; brother, Duane (Brown) Smith; and a niece. He was proud to be able to tell everyone that he had served in the Vietnam (South East Asia) War. He served in the military as it being an honor and privilege to protect and serve. Denny received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy in 1975. Denny always said live today as if its your last day because we have no promise of tomorrow and my love to you is unconditional. Viewing will be on Thursday April 17th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Closing service will be from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Brown. Final Resting place will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery located at 9044 W. HWY 80 Nancy, KY 42541 on Friday April 18, 2014 at 2:30pm. Denny's journey back home has been a heartfelt and sorrow passing. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. But we can all rejoice in knowing he was welcomed home to God's Kingdom and we all have another Guardian Angel watching over us. May my husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend remain in your hearts forever. Denny has left his favorite saying to all who knew him to carry it on. "Ya Right"
