News Death Notice

MACLIN, Ms. Jinnie age 77, of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away April 18, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born June 6, 1936 in Stanton, TN to the late Carrie Maclin and Charlie Boyd, and a resident of Dayton since1966. Jinnie united with St. Matthews Baptist Church, Stanton, TN, later, becoming a faithful member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, Dayton. Preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Maclin, one sister and three brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters: beloved and devoted sister, Josephine Taylor of Dayton, Alma (Oscar) Wortham, Barbara (Johnnie) Sangster and Portia (Chester) Hodges of Tennessee; brothers, Leslie (Maxine) Maclin, Charles Maclin of Dayton, Robert (Vernita) Boyd of Tennessee; grandchildren, Shawan, Stephonna and Shawnta Harris, Andre McReynolds; devoted nephew, Steven Taylor; close friends, Tina (Curtis) Johnson and Sharon Vaughn; a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Canaan M.B. Church, 5191 Hoover Ave. Rev. Joseph L. Coleman officiating. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery. Visitation from 9-11 am.
