MCCLURE, Lera Mae 82, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Middletown, OH, a resident of Friendship Village formerly of Mary Scott departed this earthly body & joined her Heavenly Father Saturday, May 3, 2014. Lera was born in Lafayette, Al on June 29, 1931 to the late Turner & Myrtis Shealey Sr. Lera attended Lanier High School in Lanett, Al. She was married to Lewis McClure Jr. in 1951 & was a devoted wife for 49 years until his passing. Lera received the Holy Ghost in Middletown, Oh at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church, December 1969 where she worked in the kitchen, was a missionary, mother of the church & choir member. Lera was an example of a Godly woman to all who knew her. Lera is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis McClure Jr.; parents Turner & Myrtis Shealey Sr.; son Anthony Freeman & siblings Hattie, Naomi, Algie & Lucious. She leaves to cherish her memory : five sons Ansley (Mary) Truitt of Carson, CA.; Thaddeus (Alfreda) Freeman of Chandler, AZ; Kenneth (Emily) McClure of Dayton, OH; Garryon (Brenda) McClure Sr. of Dayton, OH; Eric (Signoria) McClure of Dayton, OH; sisters: Catherene (Eld. O.C.) Stiggers of West Point, GA; Hazel Scott of Lanett, AL; Effie (Eddie) Alexander of Detroit, MI; Mattie Williams, of Middletown, OH; brothers: Arthur D. Shealey of Lafayette, AL; Peter Shealey of Lanett, AL; Turner Shealey Jr. of Detroit, MI; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews & other relatives & friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 12, 2014 at Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God, 1350 Kumler Ave. Bishop Eugene Ringer officiating. The family will receive friends 10-11 A.M.
