ROTH, Esther M. "Cookie" (Bensman) age 91 of Brookville, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She had worked as a clerk for 18 years at Rikes/Lazarus and was also a secretary for 5 years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Esther loved to be with her family and enjoyed card playing. She loved to attend and plan parties for friends and family. She is survived by her daughter: Patricia (Charles) Lewis of Brookville, sons: James (Eileen) Roth of Rochester, NY, Jeffrey (Wilma) Roth of Huntsville, AL, Jack (Cindy) Roth of Harrison, TN, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years: Thomas J. Roth, parents: Robert and Josephine (Wynk) Bensman, 1 brother and 1 sister. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lakeview of Brookhaven and Hospice of Dayton for the loving care given to Esther. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church (1000 W. Wenger Road, Englewood) with Fr. Tim Knepper, C.P.P.S. as celebrant. Entombment will follow the Mass at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Prior to the visitation, the Rosary will be said at 8:45 a.m. in the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Hospice of Dayton.
