MONTOYA, Levi Alejandro age 15, of Farmersville, OH, passed away, Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was born in Dayton, OH, on March 1, 1999, the son of Christy L. (Black) and Luciano "Lucky" P. Montoya. Levi celebrated his first Holy Communion at Our Lady of Good Hope Church and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was the Star F.F.A. Award Winner of the Valley View Freshman Class and was serving as Sentinel. He was President of the KNL 4-H Club; was an Ohio 4-H Ambassador and had earned his Green Hand Award. Levi was a VVHS Freshman Class Officer and played on the football team. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his older brother, Bailey Montoya; his grandparents, Gary & Diane Black of Brookville, OH and Jerry & Rosemary Montoya of Belen, NM; his aunts and uncles, Tim & Amy Black of Portland, OR, Jerry & Linda Black of Union, OH, Mario Montoya and Santiago & Randie Montoya all of Belen, NM; his God Parents, Leonard & Cassandra Otero of Albuquerque, NM and Todd & Lisa Kozarec of Farmersville, OH; and numerous special cousins. The family will receive friends, 5-9 p.m., Tuesday (Rosary Prayer Service 8:30 p.m.), June 10th, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, S. Third and Central Avenue, Miamisburg, OH, where Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 11th, with Fr. Thomas A. Nevels, Celebrant. Burial will be at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Levi Montoya Memorial Fund at the First National Bank of Germantown.
