BURNS, Thomas S. was a life-long resident of Franklin, age 85 passed away June 9, 2014. He was born August 18, 1928 the son of Alfred and Alice Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sara his wife of 64 years. He is survived by his son William T. (Deborah) of Loveland, Oh and daughter Sara B. Baldino (Frank) of Lodi, NJ. Also two grandsons, Seth Burns and James Baldino, two granddaughters, Brandi Aliaga, Marissa Baldino and four great grandchildren. He was employed by Dayton Power & Light and retired after 35 years as Supt. Maintenance of O.H.H. Station. In retirement he co-owned Busy Bees Craft Shoppe for 13 years in Franklin and Lebanon. He had been a member and officer of Franklin Slo Pitch, Athletic Boosters, Swim Club, Civil Service Committee, Cub Scoutmaster, Downtown Improvement Committee and Franklin Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Franklin Historical Society and was known for scale models he built of old Franklin buildings. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
