PIERCE, Henry "The Prince" age 72, of Dayton, departed this life June 14, 2014. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a dedicated member and Deacon for over 30 years at Faith Deliverance Church of God in Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Ruth Pierce; sisters, Jerisha Johnson and Ida Brown; brother, Moses Pierce; son, Zachary Pierce Sr.; daughter, Tonya Jean Pierce. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife (Proverbs 31) of 54 years, Joyce Pierce; son, Andre (Audry) Pierce; daughters, Tracy Pierce, Vicki (Orlando) Edwards, Renae Pierce, Andrea (Kevin) Stevens, Shawna (John) Staten; special grandchildren, Andrea, Andre Jr., Antonio, April, David, Devin, RayVaughn, Elijah, Tamera, Jada, Emily, Journey; special friends, the Brown, Barney, Stephens and McDuffie families; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Faith Deliverance C.O.G.I.C., 450 Turner Rd. Pastor Terence O. Hayes, Sr. officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
