Patricia Ann Giagiacumo CLAY Obituary

News Death Notice

CLAY, Patricia Ann Giagiacumo Of Merritt Island, passed away on Sunday June 29, 2014. She was a devoted mother, my loving beautiful and wonderful wife and a friend to everyone she met. Born on March 14, 1939 in Schenectady, NY, she was the youngest of seven sisters. She earned her BA Degree at Geneseo State University and then a Masters Degree in speech pathology at the University of Cincinnati. For 25 years, Patricia lived and taught in the Dayton area. Upon retiring in 1998 from the Mad River Twp. Public schools in Ohio, she moved to our new home in Copperfield. She immediately made new friends and became active with the Cocoa Beach Writers Group and the Space Coast Romance Writers. She had several romance adventure novels published and was a contributor for Florida Today. She and I enjoyed extensive traveling to 18 countries as well as touring the USA. She leaves her children Margaret Sesco and Thomas Mullin; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters; and too many nieces, nephews etc. to mention. Lastly she leaves her husband Brad Clay. On our 44th anniversary, November 6, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Bonefish Grill. Unfortunately on December 6, she had to undergo her second open heart surgery from which she never fully recovered. Complications arose including losing her eyesight. For almost 7 months she was in the hospital, rehab or brief stays at home where she could enjoy my cooking. TRAVEL, ROMANCE, MUSIC, FUN FOR 44 YEARS WE HAD IT ALL, HON. YOU WERE MY ROCK AND SUNSHINE AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY VALENTINE. Condolences may be shared at
