LIAKAKOS, Amelia "Mitzi" age 80, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her residence. Mitzi worked in several family businesses throughout the years and most recently at Limbo's. She was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, GAPA Women and Dayton Women's Club. Mitzi was preceded in death by her husband, Constantin "Dino" in 1988; brother, Themio Serneotes in 1978. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Jamie & Jerry Sutton of Columbus, Nia & Kerry Shaffer of Washington Township, DeDe & William "Buzz" Goodwin of Englewood; son, Jimmy Liakakos & longtime companion Julie Wilz of Vandalia; beloved sister-in-law, Vigi Liakakos of Dayton; nephew, Dean Liakakos of Dayton; cousin, Andrew Pseres of MI; aunt, Jenny Tewell of CO; grandchildren, Shannon Shaffer & Brett Smith, Jordyn, Samantha & Alexandria Shaffer, Audrey & Eric Sutton, Keegan, Kamden & Kyra Rottgen; step-grandchildren, William, Andrew & Lucas Goodwin; and many other relatives & friends. Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North with Father Mark P. Emroll officiating. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until service time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund or The Hospice of Dayton in Mitzi's memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Home, North Main St. Chapel.
