Many also remember Vern in connection with Moll Hardware. While living in Kettering with his family, Vern volunteered for the Wee Dragons and Cub Scouts and served on city of Kettering boards. After moving to Xenia in 1976, he was very active in Faith Community United Methodist Church, where he acted as the night watchman for years. He was a long-time member of the Xenia Rotary Club and served as an officer of that organization, and was a member of two city of Xenia boards. Vern also was an active member of American Legion Post 95 in Xenia and had been a volunteer at Greene Memorial Hospital. Vern was an avid Buckeyes fan and was looking forward to the Ohio State-Michigan game. Vern was preceded in death by his parents, Verdin, Sr. and Ethel Moll, his sisters, Jean Moll and Ruth Ella Huston and his first wife, Nancy Moll.
