News Death Notice

MOORE, Helen H. (Bruggeman) age 93 of Dayton, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Helen was born September 13, 1920 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Ambrose and Claire (Kleimier) Bruggeman. She was a very proud graduate of Julienne High School, Class of 1939, where she served as Senior Class President and was Class Valedictorian. Helen was a loving wife and mother to her 7 children. She was also a caring daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Helen was a devoted Catholic with special ties to both Holy Family and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was happily married to her husband, Jim, for 64 years. Helen leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons, James (Nora) and Mark; 4 daughters, Julie, Ann, Holly Covington and Beth (Blake) McKee; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James T. Moore; daughter, Mary Kay Robinson; granddaughter, Justine McKee; 4 brothers, George, Jack (Mary), Lawrence (Ursula) and Eugene (Evelyn); 2 sisters, Freda (Edward) Mesch and Dena (Peter) Borst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 E. 2nd St., Dayton, OH 45402, Fr. Angelo Anthony celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr., at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415 and 9-10 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton or the in Helen's memory.
