HILL, Evangelist Betty Mae (Walker) 72, of Trotwood, entered into heaven on Sunday August 17, 2014 at the Kettering Medical Center. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 7, 1941 to the late James and Willa Walker. Betty graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960. After graduation, she worked at the Joy Apartments as a bookkeeper. She was also employed by the McCall Corporation, Citizens Federal, Merrill Lynch, and 20 years at the University of Dayton in the comptrollers' office. In 1997, Betty took an early retirement to focus on her outreach ministry. To further her education, she attended Sinclair Community College and the University of Dayton. Betty received her Counselor Certification through the Therapon Institute. Since Betty's graduation in 1960, God blessed her to be in Prison Ministry for 54 years throughout the state of Ohio. In 1990, Betty founded Project Reach, Inc. Prison/Community Inner-City Ministries. The mission of Project Reach is to reach the community through Jesus Christ. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Douglas "Chipper" Hill, and her brother, Ray Walker. She is survived by (2) sons, Dallas C. (Alicia) Hill Jr. of Perth, Australia and Daryl (Lori) C. Hill of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Janas (Charles) Rice of Dayton, OH; (2) brothers, Larry Walker of Columbus, OH and Robert Walker of Dayton, OH; (9) grandchildren: Ebony, Prince, Jedda Rae, Aretha, Mia, Andrew, Corbin, Tara, and Aria; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., SATURDAY, August 23, 2014 at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, 4501 Wolf Rd., with Dr. Truman Martin, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: West Memory Gardens.
