News Death Notice

RAMBERGER, John C. age 65 of Springboro fought courageously with his battle of cancer until he passed peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2014 surrounded by his loving wife. He was born on May 20, 1949 in Dayton to the late, Leottis and Helen Ramberger. Also preceding him in death are grandparents, Charles and Mary Miller. John is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Diane (Fox) Ramberger; son, Steve (Kim) Botts; daughter, Jenny (Scott) Fitzgerald; son, Scott (Angel) Ramberger; grandchildren, Ryan Caldwell, Tiffany (Chad) Austin, Kyle Kemp, Emma Botts, Anna Botts, Sydney Fitzgerald, Breanna Ramberger; great-grandson, Easton Austin; special friends, Bill and Beth Staas and many other extended family and friends. John graduated from Fairview HS in 1968 and Sinclair Community College in 1971. He is a US Army veteran of the 25th Infantry Division, active in the Operation Share Christmas and the VNEA Adult and Jr. Pool Leagues. John worked for over 30 years with Gem Music & Vending, Shaffer Amusement and Vending Co. and presently was working for Lab Corp Clinical of Cincinnati as a courier. John will always be remembered for his jokes, playful attitude and his infectious smile. He always remembered your face and name and never knew a stranger. Friends and family may visit from 5-7 pm on Sunday, August 24 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg, followed by a memorial service at 7pm with Chaplain Clark Helvey officiating. John performed one last gift by being a donor to the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. The family would like to thank Dr. William Ashcraft, Dr. Mark Romer, Dayton Physicians and Hospice of Dayton-the Buckeye Unit for all of their compassionate and tender care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the or the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, in memory of John.
