McCLAIN, Jerry David A faithful follower of Christ, age 76 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born November 21, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Leo and Christine McClain. Jerry lived in Dayton all of his adult life where he volunteered in the community. He served in the United States Army. Jerry's faith was very important to him and was a long time member of Victory Temple Church where he served as an Usher, Bus Driver, and a Council Member. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Mary Ann McClain; and a brother-in-law, Tom Lovely. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Rebecca; nine children, Theresa (Bob) Andrews, Tammy (Ken) Weidinger, Tim (Judy) McClain, Jerry McClain, Jeffrey McClain, Jonathan McClain, Marylee Baker Brown, Jeannie Randolph, and David Hall; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Phyllis Lovely, Don McClain, and Connie (Bill) Stewart. He is also survived by numerous family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Trissell Cemetery. Please visit www.newcomerdayton.com to share a memory in the family guest book. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Victory Temple Church or Brighton Center, Inc.
