News Death Notice
NORVELL, Sr., Mr. Amileo L., Age 42 of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2015. He was a native Daytonian and attended Sinclair Community College; studying mental health. Amileo is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Willa Mae Norvell; maternal grandparents, Charles Butler and Mattie Majors; uncle, Allen Norvell; sister, Sheila Norvell and a niece, Rodrika Norvell. He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted children: Ashley Olgesby, Mylae and Myanni Ashe and son, Amileo Norvell Jr.; loving father, Ronald (Judith) Norvell; loving mother, Shirley Butler-Norvell; fiancé, Tenae Hampton; (2) brothers, Marcus and Roderick; (4) sisters, Rhonda (Amory) James, Shavon, Qiana and Candace Norvell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., SATURDAY, December 19, 2015 at OMEGA BAPTIST CHURCH, 1821 Emerson Ave. Reverend Dr. Daryl Ward, Pastor, with Reverend Arnita Peavey, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Woodland Cemetery. Arrangement entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On-line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com

To the Norvell Family. It deeply saddened me to have heard about Amileo. I've known he and his sister Shavonne since first or second grade at Allen Ele.School. Later in my teen years I meet Mark and Sheila and plenty more of the extended family members. You are all a wonderful and close family. I too will miss his smile greating me even before he ever said a word. He was a very respectful person as a child and an adult. Amileo, I too Love You like you were my own family member.
