Harold and I were second cousins we would see each other at the Prater Cemetery on Mashfork Ky. Memorial Day, and Magoffin County Day in Fairborn Ohio. I always looked forward for those meetings. Prayers and condolences to the Family.

My last Uncle and brother to my father, Thomas Edgar Prater. All four sons of T K and Ann Prater served in WWII and all four came back safe. They were part of "Americas Greatest Generation," and too few are now left. Uncle Harold was my favorite Uncle and I should have spent much more time with him. I remember when my now 41 year old daughter was young and she loved being around him and he loved having her around. Since he had two daughters of his own, he always felt like they were God's gift. I will miss him and will continue to pray for Marcella, Kathy and Marcia.

One of my most favorite people to ever walk on this earth. I fondly called him Uncle Harold and can remember him from about age 7, when he and his family were our next door neighbors. I always enjoyed seeing him and giving him a hard time which he was always ready to give right back to me.
