CRENSHAW SR., Mr. Larry C. age 66, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Born January 19, 1943, son of the late Rosetta Simmons, in Greeneville, Alabama and a resident of Dayton the majority of his life. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, class of 1963. He was the owner of LC Charters, a member of McKinley United Methodist Church for over 40 years, a member of Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and a member of the Elks. Also, preceded in death by 2 brothers, John & Roosevelt Simmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Irene; son, Larry Crenshaw, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany (Marcus) McClure; 4 grandchildren, DaQuane Crenshaw, Kyra, Noah & Sydney McClure; 2 sisters, Littie Barbee, Andrea Simmons, all of Dayton; 4 brothers, Ervin (Amanda), of Mobile, AL; Cornelius, of Dayton, Andray (Janice) & Charlie Lee (Betty) Simmons, both of Miami, FL; aunt, Littie Coleman; sisters & brothers-in-law, Laura Liggins, Beatrice Coleman, Luther (Peggy) & Lorenzo (Diane) Burks; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, December 11, 2009 at McKinley United Methodist Church, 196 Hawthorne Street. Rev. John Jackson, Sr., Eulogist; Rev. Dianne Turner-Sharazz, Pastor. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
