JEROME (nee Robbeloth), Mary Adria age 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Bethel Home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where she had been a resident since November of 2007. Mary was born on December 9, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio a daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary E. (Scheckelhoff) Robbeloth. She attended Steele High School and worked at National Cash Register Company until she volunteered for the U.S. Navy WAVES 1945-1947. She proudly served her country in the Medical Corp at Quantico, Virginia and later as the wife of a career Marine. She married Marine M/Sgt. Edwin J. Jerome in Dayton, Ohio on April 15, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1965. From that time, she returned to Dayton to care for her parents until their deaths. Known as "Aunt 80" to her family, she was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and Our Lady of Peace Court of the Lady Foresters of Dayton, Ohio. Because of health problems, she moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 2006. She is survived by her brothers, Thomas L. (Diane) of Woodinville, Washington and Raymund J. (Margaret) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Hannelore Robbeloth of Colorado Springs, Colorado; beloved nieces, nephews, and grand nieces/nephews and numerous cousins of the Robbeloth/Deardoff/Ryan/Karl/Scheckelhoff/Hasenjager and Phillips families. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, (infant) Martin O., Edward H. and Robert A. and sisters, Martha J. Uzzel, Eleanor M. O'Reilly and Margaret A. Wolff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, (Sacred Heart Site), corner of Knapp and 6th Streets in Oshkosh, on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend William Van DeKreeke will be the celebrant. There will be no visitation. Burial will be with her beloved husband in Arlington National Cemetery in Arilington, Virginia with full military honors, and she will be accompanied there at a later date by her nephew Matthew Robbeloth.
