News Death Notice
EMRICK, Donald Lee age 79, of Germantown, OH, passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Grandview Hospital. He was born in Germantown, on September 5, 1930, to the late, Irvin B. and Gladys (Eddy) Emrick. Donald retired from Harrison Radiator in 1988 after 30 years of service. He was and avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and R.V. traveling with his wife Lois. Donald also held his pilot's license for 18 years. He was a former member of Emmanuel's Evangelical Lutheran Church; and was a member of Fairborn Masonic Lodge, F. & A.M. He served as the former Commander of the Civil Air Patrol; and served as the former Secretary of the Dayton Industrial Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Emrick. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois M. (Foust) Emrick; 2 sons, Ray (Candy) Emrick of Annapolis, MD and Bill (Pat) Emrick of Middletown, OH; and his daughter Roberta Kirby of West Carrollton, OH; 9 grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bob (Arlene) Emrick of Farmersville, OH and Gerald (Freda) Emrick of Germantown, OH; his sister-in-law, Rheta Emrick of Bellefontaine, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 p.m., Sunday January 31, 2010, at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m., Monday February 1, with Pastor Michael Havey officiating. Burial will be at Germantown Union Cemetery.
