WIDEMAN JR., Claude age 81 departed this life on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at The Ohio State Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1929. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School, 1947. He attended Wilberforce University. Dedicated 3 years of service in the U.S. Army. He was a retired foreman from Howard Paper Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Sr. and Mary Wideman.; sisters, Bernice Wilson and Martha Mason; brother, Charles Wideman; sons, Van and Thomas Winston and grandson, Jesse Chandler Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Deloris Wideman; daughter, Ida (Grady) DeVaughn; son, Carnell (Annette) Winston; special loving granddaughters who he raised, Sherri (Reggie) Orr and Nate' Johnson; 4 other grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; nieces, Claudia Mason, Inga (Michael) Howard and Camille Cooper (New Haven, CT); nephews, Roderick Wilson, Marshall and Matthew Mason. A host of other relatives and friends. Services: Friday, July 30, 2010, 11AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway St., Pastor Ernest Graves officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery. Service respectfully rendered by H.H. Roberts.

Lois and family,

I am sorry to hear of Junior’s passing. Tyrone told me late last week that he was not doing well; and while he has departed this life rest easy knowing he has entered his home on high with many family members to meet and greet him with open arms and lovely praises.
