News Death Notice

PATTON, Mr. Howard Franklin quietly passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the home of his daughter, Renee Conyers of Yorktown, Virginia. Howard was a native of Richmond Kentucky and a resident of Dayton, Ohio for 63 years and will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Emmett and Henrietta Patton of Richmond Kentucky, three brothers, George, Charles, and Steward Patton and two sisters, Sue Ester McGee and Mary H. Mobley of Dayton, Ohio. His memory is cherished by his loving devoted wife, Audrey Jean Patton, his children, Pamela Jean Barlow, Renee Delcine Conyers, Lorraine Ann Persinger (Eddie), Howard Travis Patton (Evon), Corey Ryan-Lynn Patton (Aron), and Hyram Franklin Patton. He leaves to celebrate his legacy, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews, 45 great nieces and nephews, 30 great-great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Howard will be especially remembered for his quick wit, spirit of adventure, sporting and the tenaciousness that allowed him to be in many diverse endeavors and most of all for his legacy of love and relishing his family and friends. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2067 North Gettysburg Avenue Dayton, Ohio. Reverend Arthur Mitchell officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery Friday, October 29 in Richmond, Kentucky. Arrangements by Smith Rose Funeral Home. Our beloved Howard you will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts. Rest in eternal peace.
