Patrick, you've been gone for almost 6 years and I still "well up" every time I think of you.
You made us smile, think from a different perspective, and mostly love---love you and all around you!
Jackie phrased it all much better than I. Love you, my little brother. God bless you and please give a kiss to Louie, Mom and Dad for me ( save one for yourself, sweets!)

He was my teacher for only one year but I can honestly say that Mr. Eviston was the best teacher i have ever had, he explained history to our generation in away that we could relate to. He was also the nicest guy that i have ever met. Im sure you guys all know how great of a guy he was but i just wanted to tell you all that he had a great impact on my life in the short time i had him as a teacher.

I am so deeply moved by all of the kind words from all of you about my big brother, Pat. He was a huge influence on me,and he'd be the first to deny it. The loss is so profound on all of us, especially our mother and his son/my nephew, Ryan. Please be sure to pray for their strength to cope. Please pray for his soul. He and I were too close when we were younger, and couldn't get close enough when we were older. I had the privilege of kicking him off of my porch many nights after long sessions of starting and solving world problems. The Eviston's can't make it without people like all of you to share thoughts and stories of Pat. He was blessed to have known all of you, and he certainly knows how much he was loved now. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts, which is where he will live on. Tell someone you love 'em..

Patrick was a fun person to share a classroom with at Southwest and a great person to talk to. He really knew Law Studies and was interesting to listen to teach. He had such a big impact on some of the toughest kids. He will always be remembered as a good person with a good heart and who cared about others very much. He always spoke of the love he had for his family and friends. I miss our conversations and silly text messages. He will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

I will always remember the impact that Patrick had on our Law Studies students while he was at Southwest. He cared about his students and knew how to relate to them. I enjoyed working with him because his concerns for his students did not end when they walked out of his classroom.

I am a teacher at Eau Gallie High School and taught with Patrick last year. We never knew of his illness but I'm sure that is the way Pat wanted it. We were shocked to hear that he wasn't going to return because he did such a good job...now we know why. I remember the first time I met him and the first thing I noticed was his easy smile. His handwriting was a true wonder...I have never seen anything like it. The students were saddened and it was the talk of the school all day. He will be remembered by many people here at EGHS. There will be a moment of silence on Monday (8/29/11) throughout the school. Thanks for touching our lives Patrick...we will see each other again.

From our days together at Mary Help and on through high school, Pat was always a true friend. I'll always remember his laugh, and how much fun we had trying to beat each other playing ping pong in my basement. I saw him at one Baker reunion and we recently reconnected on Facebook. Pat was one hell of a guy and my love and sympathy go out to all in the Eviston family, and all who who've been blessed by him over the years. RIP buddy.

Dear Mrs Eviston and Family:
I am very saddened to know Pat has passed away. I feel for each and every one of you because I know how much this hurts. My most sincere sympathies.
It's easy to remember how uplifting it was to be around Pat, see the joy of life in his face and hear his laugh. I always felt a little better about life when I was around him. He had that magic touch.
Our humblest prayers for Pat and to everyone in the Eviston family.

To the entire Eviston Family,
Words cannot express our deep sympathy and sorrow; nor can we begin to fathom your devastating loss. Pat was filled with laughter and joy-always had a joke or anecdote he couldn’t wait to tell. Our hearts are broken, and we know our mother's would be, as well. Pat will remain in our hearts forever, and you will remain in our thoughts and our prayers.

With love and prayers,
THE RUSSELL FAMILY

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back...
The sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord cause his face to shine upon you,
And give you peace.

To my big brother, there was so much I didn't get to say to you. I was proud of you and you made me proud to be your little sister. When people ask "let me know if there's anything I can do", pick up the phone and call someone in your family, just to say hi and tell them how much you love them, I wish I had one more chance. I love you Ryan.
