EVANS, Mary Elizabeth [Wenninger] age 99, went gently to God, on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Beloved mother of Mary Katherine Evans, Martha A. Osterday (John), Edna Gorman (Robert); loving grandmother of John (Teresa), Robert (Jenny), Janice (David), Katherine (Michael), & Scott and great-grandmother of Chase, Evieana, Jessica, Alana, Lilly, Elizabeth, Justin, Sarah, Mikey, & many nieces & nephews. Beloved sister of Sr. Mary Susanne, SND (Rose), Sr. Mary Virginia, SND (Frances), & sister-in-law, Helengene Wenninger. Preceded in death by parents, John J. & Mary (Streicher) Wenninger; husband, Edmund Boyce "Ned" Evans; brothers, John & George Wenninger; sisters, Sr. Mary Consolatis, SND (Grace), Dorothy Westrick, & Kyle Horn. Mary was a Toledo native, resident of Cincinnati, Kettering, and St. Leonards in Centerville, graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Toledo, member of St. Albert the Great Church, Womens Guild, Legion of Mary, past Vice President of Catholic Golden Age, Dayton Deanery & volunteer for many organizations. She was employed by Ohio Gas Company, Sacksteders Cafeteria, Culps Cafeteria, Pantorium Cleaners, & World Book, Inc. Family will greet friends from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home, 1733 Brown St. A Prayer Service will be begin at 11:30 AM at the funeral home followed at 12:00 Noon by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Leonards, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville, 45458 or Sisters of Notre Dame of Toledo, 3837 Secor Rd., Toledo, 43623 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, 45420.
