DRODGE, Reverend John A. "Jack" of Huber Heights, was born in Pittsburgh, PA June 10, 1931, and passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011. Jack was the beloved husband of Lois for 59 years, father of Dan (Terrilynn), Cindy (Tony) Redolfi, and Sandy (Bob) Beck. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Jerry (Judy) of Dayton and sister, Janet Schwemmer of Pittsburgh; as well as his grandchildren, Hadley (Seth) Graham, Kaylyn & Jenieva Drodge, Rachael, Jonathan & Michael Redolfi, Andrea Redolfi- Binkley, Kara Redolfi-Simpson, Casey, Andrew & Hannah Beck; as well as four great-grandchildren, his church's congregation and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence; brother, Donald & sister, Gloria. Jack finished his 33 year business career as Vice President of distribution with Frigidaire in 1985 and began his life passion in ministry as a local pastor with Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in 1986, retiring in September after 25 years of service. His deep love for God, his family and his country impassioned him to serve others selflessly throughout his life. Many people, and especially his family, were touched and guided by his straightforward philosophy to "Love One Another". Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 9, 2011 at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Road with Pastors Tom Hanover, Jon Morgan and Hannah Kim officiating. Internment at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike from 4-8 PM Thursday and on Friday at the church from 9:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in Jack's memory would be greatly appreciated.
