SCOTT, Denise [Frieden] An independent person who was lovingly referred to as the backbone or "the Warden" of the family, passed away Wednesday November 16, 2011 at home after brief health problems. She was 53. Denise was born February 23, 1958 in Xenia to Janice (Rittenhouse) Frieden and Donald Frieden. Denise loved cooking for her friends and family. She was the store manager for DeClarks Card & Gifts (Town & Country) and commonly known there as "the boss". She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Christy Semelsberger. She valued her relationship with God and her family, especially her grandchildren. Denise is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Johnny, 3 sons Adam Scott of Lebanon, Pvt. Craig Scott (NIkki) of Honalulu, Hawaii, Rob Everette of Bellbrook, 2 daughters Emily Fortman (Mark) of West Carrollton and Heather Moeller (Charlie) of Greeneville, Tennessee, 5 grandchildren Evan, Brady, Brock, Case, and yet to be born Eva Marie, 1 brother, Keith Frieden of Xenia, and 1 sister Belynda "Bo" Frieden of Kettering. The family will receive friends Tuesday November 22 from 5-8 pm at Conner & Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St. (S.R. 725), Bellbrook. Funeral services Wednesday 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Stephan Becker officiating. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
