KOOKEN, Skylar Lynn Skylar was born March 25, 1996 in Columbus to Kelli Lynn (Key) Kooken and Matthew Bryan Kooken. She passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012. She was 16. Skylar was a Bellbrook High School Junior and worked at Kilwins at the Greene. She loved to write and read, but was most passionate about her friends. She is survived by her mom Kelli Kooken (Scott Miller), dad Matt Kooken, 3 brothers Caden, Ashton and Christian Kooken, sister Lexy Kooken, all of Bellbrook, paternal grandparents Gale & Linda Kooken of Dayton, maternal grandparents Don & Terry Key of Englewood, Woody & Toni Bricker of Troy, paternal great-grandmother Miriam Kooken of Englewood, maternal great-grandmother Patricia Creamer of Troy, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and many beloved friends. The family will receive friends Friday November 9th from 3-8 pm at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville. Committal service Saturday 12:00 noon at Bellbrook Cemetery. Jody McGuire officiating. A combined celebration of the lives of Sophie, Skylar and Julianna will be held Saturday 2:00 pm at Bellbrook High School.
