KEFERL, Elizabeth M. (McNamee) 88, passed away December 12, 2012 in Kettering, Ohio. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Elizabeth McNamee. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Bill and her husband of 52 years, Thomas J; and infant son, William C. She is survived by her sister, Mercedes Evitts; her six children: Gregory T., Mary C, Therese M. Post; Jennifer A. Horvath, Patrick J and Matthew J.; ten grandchildren: Ellie, Adam, Zachary, Erik, Todd, Chad, Brittany, Natalie, Nicholas and Bryan; three great grandchildren: Dominic, Kiefer and Abigail; and many other family and friends. Elizabeth traveled to Dayton, Ohio in 1946, to become a registered nurse. She attended and successfully completed the Nurses Cadet Corp Training at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Her nursing career spanned 54 years and included work at St. Elizabeth, Good Samaritan and Grandview hospitals. She also taught at the Dayton School of Practical Nursing, followed by a 15 year span as an intake nurse at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center. Although Elizabeth retired from nursing in 2002, she continued her community service as a volunteer at Grandview Hospital.
