News Death Notice

KRONENBERGER, Paul E. age 90 of Englewood, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was a kind, compassionate and generous man, a loving husband, dad, grandpa and a friend to many. He retired from Frigidaire/GM with more than 30 years of service. Paul was an Army veteran of WWII having survived combat in Europe. He was a devout member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church where he volunteered extensively. Paul also volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul. He enjoyed playing bridge and bowling. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, joyous songs, and puns for every occasion. He was a seeker of peace. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years: Lucille (Wehrman) Kronenberger, children: Ann Kronenberger of ME, Sue (Harry Houze) Kronenberger of MT, Edward (Mark Fleming) Kronenberger of WA, Jerry (Betty) Kronenberger of Bellbrook, Jane Kronenberger of Dayton, Julie (Elizabeth Bolen) Kronenberger of Columbus, Polly (Mary Bullen) Kronenberger of Camden, sister: Janet Marie Moorman of Beavercreek, grandchildren: Paul (Jenny) McBreen, Jason Kronenberger, Chris Kronenberger, Aaron Bates, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Jeanette (Thoma) Kronenberger, sisters: Mary Reese, Dolores Croghan and brother: Raymond Kronenberger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (220 W. Siebenthaler Ave., Dayton) with Fr. John Krumm as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
