News Death Notice
HARDAGE, Mrs. Virginia Louise Age 74, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Mrs. Virginia Hardage was born on March 15, 1939 in Elizabeth, GA to her parents, the late William C. and Sallie Blalock Drummond. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Mr. Robert Harvey Hardage; her brothers and sisters, Margeen Key, Maudeen Travis, Randall Drummond, Cellie Key, Donald Drummond, Lamar Drummond, J.L. White, Mae Strickland, Henry Drummond, W.C. Drummond, Bertha Lingerfelt and Fron Merritt. Mrs. Hardage had a long and prosperous career, working with the Montage Brothers Co., H&R Block and had also worked in the Radio industry, having worked with WONE and WTUE Stations in Dayton, Ohio. She had also been associated with WGAA prior to her retirement. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown and was a member of the Eastern Star and had served as the Worthy Matron twice for the Cedartown Chapter # 213. She is survived by her loving family, her sons, Robert Wesley Hardage, Donald E. Hardage and William Allen Hardage; her daughter, Debbie Hardage Pogue; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Louise Hardage will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Cedartown with Dr. David Taylor and the Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens. Mrs. Hardage will Lie in State at the Church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, March 25, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. The following Gentlemen are asked to serve as Pallbearers: Jarrod Pannell, Zack Hardage, Sean Hardage, Matt Hardage, Robbie Hardage and Matthew Groce.
