LUTHMAN, Dennis C. "Doc" age 73 of Kettering, OH was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 2, 1940 and passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Kettering Memorial Hospital in Kettering, Ohio. He was born to the late Charles J. and Martha (nee Peltier) Luthman in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Robert J. Luthman. Dennis left behind his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Barbara A. (nee Hartmeier) Luthman, married May 28, 1960. Children, David J. (Sherri) of Kettering, OH, Sherry D. (Jeffery) Girard of Kettering, OH and Michael D. Luthman of Kettering, OH. Grandchildren, Nicole (Matt) Wallace of Kettering, LaRisa, Jessica and Rebecca Girard of Beavercreek, OH and Alexandria Luthman of Dayton, OH. Dennis leaves behind his brother Norman (Kathy) Luthman of Kettering, OH, his sister, Nancy Fligg of Litchfield, N.H and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by many friends and relatives. Dennis graduated from John H. Patterson Co-Op in class of 1959 in Dayton, OH. He met his loving wife Barbara at Patterson Co-Op and they married, May 28, 1960 at Holy Family Church in Dayton, OH. He worked for General Motors, Delco Products Kettering, OH for 32 years. He worked in skilled trade as a tinner and everyone called him "Doc". Dennis had many interests including boating on Lake Erie and fishing, enjoyed wood-working, ham radio enthusiast, call letter NSHKF and fixing anything and everything. Dennis and Barbara are members of Ascension Catholic Church, Kettering, OH. A viewing will take place from 9:00am-10:30am on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Dr. Kettering, OH 45420, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am. Donations can be made to Ascension Catholic Church and Miami Valley, 3797 Summit Glen Drive, Suite G100, Dayton, OH 45449, in his name.
