Francois, you were such a bright light to so many people that you touched. I don't think you had any idea what you meant to so many people. You were such a genuine soul and you made everyone feel like they were the most important person around you. Your smile lit up the room. Thank you for the influence you had on so many, and you did in fact leave a legacy that so many will try to mimic. Do not rest, but shake it all up in the heavens!

Life was too short for you!! Still you left unforgettable character of greatness, respecting God, your family, the community and the World. Words cannot express how proud is every single parent who had chance to know you. I loved you and will continue to love you. Watch over young people left on the earth!!! I am sure God is happy to watch you playing games for Him and socializing with all the angels.

Francois was a great friend and an even better person. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him would agree. He was always very kind and helpful every time we talked, and was always willing to listen. My prayers go out to his family. I know what is like to lose the person you love the most so unexpectedly, and its the worst feeling in the world. He will truly be missed greatly.

It's been a week since I have talked to you and I cannot get the last words that you said out of my head. When you said "I love you" and I said it back, I meant it. You truly were the firecracker that lit up my life, as well as everyone else you came into contact with. I still cannot believe that you are gone, but I know I will see you again one day. It's crazy to think how many lives you impacted in the short amount of time you were alive. 24 years is not long enough for someone to live their life to the fullest. You still had many years to come, and many more things to experience. You are such an amazing son, friend, Brother of God, and of course an awesome "Life Coach". You ALWAYS knew what to say to get me out of my slumps and I will forever be grateful for your live and friendship. I love you to the moon and back, Franny. Keep it real and have many dances with the God who brought our friendship together. xo

We love you Francois and will never forget the great times we all spent together. You were like a brother to Kyle Rose and my girls, Emma and Sarah, adored you as did I. We just spoke two weeks ago about going to Kyle's game in WVU. I can't tell you how sorry I am about not taking you to the game last year. You are already missed, but will always be in our hearts. We love you! Gigi, Emma and Sarah Earhart and Kyle Rose

I've been at a loss for words since the moment I heard of your passing.

You were one of the most positive and influential people I have ever known. I'm surely going to miss getting texts on random nights to meet you out to play keno or go to whatever random bar you had in mind. This has been very hard for everyone.

Rest in peace Francois, you were a great friend. It's not goodbye, it's see you later

Coach the one thing I have burned in my mind from the two years I knew you, is after practice this year when you approached me. I was having a bad week of practice and you came up to me and asked where my drive and fire went that you saw in me in freshman year. I went home that night and thought about it and I relit my fire. That made me start improve in my playing. Though I never got a chance to thank you for that so I am now, thank you for inspiring me again to play my hardest and strive for perfection just like you. Rest in peace Coach Cios.

Francois Hagenimana was more then a friend to me, he was a brother, he had an influential role in my life to make me the man I am today. We have a long history with many ups and some downs but I knew I could count on him to be an loyal and kind person. He was always the life of the party throughout high school, college, and post grad. Now he is the life of the greatest party in existence. We must remember the time we had with him and not the time we lost. God bless. R.I.P. Francois, my brother.

As I look at this guest book and your Facebook, I think it is a testament to how many lives you have touched with your beautiful personality. Everyone seems to have a memory of how you bettered their lives in one way or another. It breaks my heart to know that none of us will ever get to enjoy that privilege again but I have to believe you are in a better place and we will meet again some day. Your family and everyone else who was blessed enough to know you is in my prayers.

I would first like to say to the family i am incredibly sorry for the loss of Francois. Francois was more than a best friend to me he was my mentor and brother. I played at Ashland with him last year and i was also a DB. Coming in as a freshman it was very hard to adjust and right away he was there guiding me the whole time. We were always around each other all semester. whether it was playing video games , at practice joking around or at the church group we went to once a week. He taught me how to do the right things and how to have faith in god. he knew that I was going through somethings and always knew what to say. I can still hear his voice when I just sit in silence. I miss him so much and its almost unreal to me that he is gone. I left ashland after that semester and Francois and I remained friends and talked almost on a daily basis. We played video games together (playstation 3) practically every night so we were always competitive haha. I talked to him the morning he died and he said he would call me later and tell me about the win centerville had...I wish i could hear his voice again. Francois was a big influence in my life and i will always live on with me. I know he's watching over all of us. i will make him proud in every way that I can. I miss you Francois..god bless the family and friends.

You will be there with me everyday, in the halls, on the field, and for the rest of my life. Every rep and every play I will try to strive for that greatness that I know you expect from me. I will never forget you and everyday I will try to honor you by being the best person I can be.
