News Death Notice
ROMER, Mary C. (Knox) age 89, of Fairborn, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014. She was born October 27, 1924 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Jerome and Lillian (Krug) Kuhn. Mary retired from Grandview Hospital and was employed with several area physicians' offices as an LPN. She was a member of Mary, Help of Christians Church; and was a member and served as past president of VFW #8312 Auxiliary in Alpha. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death a sister, Joanne Kuhn. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Eugene, and his daughter and three sons; three children, Karen (Jack) Wagner of Illinois, Susan (Gary) Zeckser of Fairborn, Robert (Mitzi) Knox of Dayton; five grandchildren, Jennifer Benanti, Jack "Chip" (Tricia) Wagner, Jason (Kimberly) Zeckser, Stephanie Staton, Christopher (fiancé, Jamie Miller) Engleman; seven great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday February 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave, Fairborn, Father Charles Lang, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
