Family-Placed Obituary

WAYMIRE, David Garth age 52 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 5, 1953, son of the late Richard W. & Jeane (Kent) Waymire. Garth was a Tool & Die Maker with the A.O. Smith Co. with over 30 years of service and he attended Ginghamsburg Church. Garth was a Charter Member of the Vandalia Fire Department, was a member of and Past-President of both the Vandalia Firefighters Association and the Central Western Fireman's Association. He enjoyed playing in numerous dart leagues and charity golf outings in the area. Preceded in death by his parents, Garth is survived by his wife of 12 years, Pauline (Hudson) Waymire; 1 step-son, John Hudson of Vandalia; 1 granddaughter, Tamara Hudson; 2 sisters, Linda & husband, Eldon Davidson of Vandalia, and Marcia & husband, Dr. Michael Horton of Fairborn; 3 brothers, Kent & wife, Ute Waymire of PA, Craig Waymire of FL, and Brian & wife, Susan Waymire of Dayton; his mother-in-law, Jean Webb and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 14 at the Ginghamsburg Church, Main Campus with Mr. Dave Webb and Mr. Ron Bogle officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Garth's memory. The family would like to offer their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided Garth and his family.
