News Death Notice

TUNNEY (Stelzer), Paula M. Age 82, passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2016. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Ivo and Adele Stelzer, sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and William Dirkes, brother-in-law Richard O'Brien, sister-in-law Jewell Tunney and niece Linda Austin. Paula is survived by her husband Jim Tunney Jr, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Gary Lucking, son Jim Tunney III, grandchildren Jennifer and Adam Kloza, Doug Lucking, David Lucking and great-grandchildren Grace, Eva and Dean Kloza. Paula is also survived by sister Judy O'Brien, brothers Don (Alana) Stelzer, Jack (Mary) Stelzer and Mark (Judy) Stelzer, brother-in-law Tom Tunney and sister-in-law Norma Austin, many nieces and nephews and special friend Mary Ann Calhoun of Sunnyvale, CA. Paula graduated from Julienne High School and the University of Dayton. She cared deeply about helping other people and was active in many church groups including the St. Francis KeenAgers and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Paula enjoyed playing bridge, reading and was an avid nature lover. She took good care of the birds in the backyard of their home. A Memorial Mass for Paula is planned for Thursday March 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Centerville OH. The family will receive friends before the Mass starting at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or Hospice of Dayton.
