News Death Notice
MESCHER (Busse), Norma Jean Age 88 of Dayton, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. Norma worked at Grandview Hospital in Dayton for over 20 years as an LPN with a specialty in Oncology and Hospice nursing. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, and was very active in multiple groups including St. Vincent de Paul, the House of Bread, Ecumenical Bible Study, and also Social Justice. She is survived by her children: Mary Jane (William) Long of Cincinnati, Terese (Michael) Meiring of Minster, William (Susan) Mescher of West College Corner, Indiana, Marc (Ann) Mescher of Centerville, Eric (Lori) Mescher of Columbus, grandchildren: Victor (Terri) Wuerstl, Michael Meiring, Natalie (Michael) Acker, Leslie Meiring, Molly Mescher, Jennie Mescher, Joshua Mescher, Matthew Mescher, Maria Mescher, Katherine Mescher, Mason Mescher, 6 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin Mescher, sisters: Anita Busse, Jane Schmuecker, parents: Edward F. and Matilda (Knostman) Busse, brother: Vernon Busse, nephew: Bruce Busse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave., Dayton) with Father Tim Knepper C.P.P.S. as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Minster at St. Augustine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or Hospice of Dayton. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.KindredFuneralHome.com
