THOMPSON, Roscoe 95 of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born September 20, 1911 in Bradford, Ohio to the late Bessie (Linder) and William Thompson. Mr. Thompson was retired from General Motors Corp. (Delco Moraine) in Dayton. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1945. Mr. Thompson moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 1991. He is preceded in death by his wife Jewell (Fliney) in 1994. He is survived by his daughters, DeMaris (Clements) Stuart and her husband Harry Stuart of Deep Creek, FL, Suzanne Thompson of Seattle, WA, grandson Sean Hillard of Port Charlotte, FL, grandson Franklin Sussman and granddaughter Annabelle Sussman, both of Seattle, WA, his sister Ruby Beam of Dayton, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, April 6, 2007 from 12 (noon) to 1 PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
