Martha Ann Bone Adams

Martha Ann Bone Adams

Martha Ann Bone Adams, 71, went to be with her Saviour November 22, 2013. She was a most gracious wife and loved working in her church until sickness robbed her of many of the things she loved to do.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at McConnell Funeral Home. She will be attending for the last time, her much loved church, with services at Athens Church of God, at Lucas Ferry Street and 17835 Quinn Road, Athens, at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013, with Dr. John Taggart and the Reverend Terry Jackson officiating and McConnel Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service at which time friends and family can be greeted. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery behind the funeral home.

Martha was born July 19, 1942, in Etowah County to Kathleen and Harvie Bone. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Bone; brothers and sisters-in-law, G.C. Tucker, Edison Adams, James L. and Onnie Mae Hicks, and Ezra and Margaret Adams.

She leaves behind her husband, Charles Edward Adams of 51 years, who loves her very much; sister, Ellen Bone Merryman; brother, Jim Bone; brother-in-law, Johnnie D. Adams and Margie Adams; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Adams, Lucille Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews, and an abundance of friends.

Martha will be mourned and missed by all, but happy in the assurance she will rest in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ.

Farewell my heart until we are together again.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

In lieu of flowers, make memorials to Athens Church of God.
