Funeral for Mollie Mae Harton, 79, of Decatur will be Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Craig Carlisle officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harton died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Morgan County to Melvin Cochran and Emma Scott Cochran. She was a longtime employee of Humphrey’s Department Store. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Harton was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Harton.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Powell and her husband David of Addison and Shelia Beth Harton of Decatur; one brother, Lacy Cochran of Moreland; two sisters, Grace Atkins of Hartselle and Lois French of Trinity; and two grandchildren, Drew Powell and Hannah Powell.
Pallbearers will be Steve French, Roger French, Theron Hamilton, Mike Akers, Neal Wilson and James Harton.
