Anna 'Bonita' Craig Byars


Funeral service for Anna "Bonita" Craig Byars, 71, of Hatton will be Friday, November 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Settles and Bro. Scottie Brackin officiating. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Byars, who died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at her residence, was born December 19, 1941, in Lawrence County to Burgess Paul Craig and Bonnie Jewel Bradford Craig. Bonita was a cosmetologist at Bonita's Beauty Shop and owner of B and B Grocery. She was a member of Okolona Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Christopher Byars.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Byars (Ava), Craig Byars (Penny) and Jason Byars; nine grandchildren, Maranda Berryman, Jessica Cantrell, Chase Byars, Breanna Byars, Daniel Byars, Emmie Byars, Anna Kate Byars, Paul William Byars and Cain Byars; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Craig and David Craig; one sister, Sue Appleton; a host of nieces and nephews; and honorary son, Kevin Harville.

Pallbearers will be Chad Appleton, Kevin Harville, Joe Cameron, Donnie Dexter, Gary Waldrop and Jeff Farley.
