Funeral for Carrie Bee Warren Blankenship, 94, of Moulton will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with Brother Arnold Bracken and Brother Tim Graham officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blankenship, who died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at her residence, was born September 13, 1918, in Lawrence County to James Luney Warren and Mertie Whisenant Warren. She was a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ensley B. Blankenship; her parents; two sons, Neal Blankenship and Barney Blankenship; one daughter, Christie Blackwood; daughter-in-law, Peggy Lovett Blankenship; two grandsons, Terry Charles Blackwood and Dale Terry; three sisters, Mable Spears, Irene Spears and Ethel Flannigan; half sister, Ruth Coan; and three half brothers, Clark Warren, Carlton Warren and Lennis Warren.
Survivors include two sons, Densie Ray Blankenship and Elaine of Eagleville, Tenn., and Donald Blankenship of Town Creek; five daughters, Jewel Dean Key and Jackie of Moulton, Charlene Terry and Alvin of Courtland, Barbara Nell Terry and Stencil of Moulton, Carolyn Tatum and Richard of Jessup, Ga., and Vonda Patrick and Alvin of Moulton; daughter-in-law, Etta Mae Blankenship of Moulton; brother, Bluitt Warren of Crestview, Fla.; two half brothers, Shirley Wayne Warren and Peggy of Moulton and Kelly Warren of Swainsboro, Ga.; two half sisters, Nell Hill of Moulton and Sue Parker and Leon of Houston, Ala.; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
