James William 'Billy' Hogan


Funeral service for James William "Billy" Hogan, 81, of Hartselle will be today, January 20, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Doss and Bro. Mack Carter officiating. Burial will be at Herring Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hogan, who died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Falkville Healthcare was born August 29, 1932, in Morgan County to James Luther Hogan and Sarah Bernice Herring Hogan. Mr. Hogan was a Korean War veteran, a lifetime member of the D.A.V., a retired truck driver and a diesel mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Steven Hogan.

Survivors include a son, Danny Hogan (Gloria); two daughters, Teresa Hogan McGee (Marty), Lisa Hogan Reed all of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Stephen Hogan (Rachel), Allison Hogan, Nathanial Reed, Amelia Reed; and great-granddaughter, Vivian Ava Hogan.

Pallbearers will be Danny Hogan, Marty McGee, Stephen Hogan, Nathanial Reed, Bryan Sinyard and Gary Shadden.
