Funeral for Mamie Standridge Johnson, 86, of Decatur will be Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Oldham, the Rev. Truman Harris and the Rev. Pearl Jenkins officiating.
The Guest Book is expired.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Lawrence County to James Monroe Standridge and Martha Hawkins Standridge. She was co-owner of Johnson Truck and Auto Repair and also worked at Cooper Wells Hosiery Mill. She was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church of God. Mrs. Johnson was an active member of the Wally Byam Caravan Club and was one of the founders of the Roaring Pines RV Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Johnson; three brothers, Horace Standridge, Elmer Standridge and Homer Standridge; one sister, Lettie Fuller; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Faithful Workers Sunday school class.
