Mildred M. Stephenson, age 100, of Hartselle died Monday June 17, 2013. She was born December 21, 1912, in Morgan County to Henry Elias Morris and Rebecca Jane Morris. She was a homemaker and was an associate librarian at West Hartselle Baptist Church where she was a church member. She was a member of the Hopewell Homemakers Club for 62 years. She read the Bible through every year from 1965 until 2012. Her creed was "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You." She graduated from Danville High School as valedictorian. She was married to Bill R. Stephenson for 74 years. Mrs. Stephenson was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jimmy F. Stephenson; and one great-grandson, Wesley Emerson.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jack Redfearn Jr. and Reverend Jack Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Janie S. "Ginger" Nolen and her husband, Charles; one daughter-in-law, Betty S. Harpe; three grandchildren, Suzanne Stephenson, Jennifer Garner and her husband, Jeff, J. Fred Stephenson and his wife, Mary; four great-grandchildren, Stratton Garner (Kayla), Maggie Cunningham (Charlie), Stedman Garner and Sarah Stephenson.

Pallbearers will be Fred Stephenson, Jeff Garner, Stratton Garner, Stedman Garner, Wayne Allen and Sol Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Hartselle Baptist Church Library, the church building fund or .
